Where to Brows... with Chloe Fineman

I couldn’t tell you which of Chloe Fineman’s SNL skits I watched first, but I can easily list the ones that have stayed with me: the vocal range behind her recreation of Timothée Chalamet’s laugh; the control of her body as she runs her hands through her hair exactly like Meryl Streep; watching her magically morph into a sexy James Bond villain, a 1970’s French variety show host, or M3GAN, the robotic AI horror doll. More than anything, though, I love the former SNL alum’s characters that mimic everyday people: an amateur potter from Vermont; a teenage boy hosting a podcast; a girl, simply, in a big dumb hat. Chloe understands that comedy is a true performance art, and that every facet of the body has to be in on the punchline.

And somehow, she still finds the time to post to Instagram, making the kind of viral Internet videos that made audiences first fall for her. For Chloe, it doesn’t seem to matter how big the rooms get. It always comes back to why she wanted to be an artist in the first place: to make; to share; the chance to create every day.
