Against a Bright, Blue Sky

November 25, 2025
Tlaloc Studios, Los Angeles

In November 2025, The Unibrow teamed with Los Angeles’ Tlaloc Studios for Against a Bright, Blue Sky, a group exhibition and Issue 01 launch curated by Ozzie Juarez and Evan Pricco. The show featured over 50 Southern California-based artists, working across multiple mediums and practices.

Against a Bright, Blue Sky can be read in two different ways: something beautiful and expansive and the other a push to the edge of the world. Tlaloc Studios and The Unibrow magazine brought together a group of artists, a community of Los Angeles for a group show that celebrated friendship, resistance, revival, culture, past, present and future. The show was about both unity and protest.

We asked each artist for a small work that was both a reflection of the title and the city it was made in. It is also connected to The Unibrow, not just a Los Angeles magazine but a publication creating stories and a voice of record for the artists defining the times we live (and lived) in.

Ozzie Juarez and The Unibrow would like to thank Nike, Open Beer, Perrier, Tropa, El Moro and everyone at Tlaloc for this special showing. The show was be on view November 22—December 14, 2025.

The show featured works by Sayre Gomez, Mr Wash, Diana Alvardo, Alfonso Gonzalez Jr, Mario Ayala, Adele Renault, Patrick Martinez, Mia Scarpa, Aaron Johnson, FriendsWithYou, Zoe Blue M, Atiba Jefferson and more.
