This may become a self-referential post, but hey, it’s our site. Like the headline says, The Unibrow will be participating in Design Miami this year, which has long been one of our favorite fairs and is celebrating their 20th year… we met the founder last night at dinner and really, Design Miami is at the heart of how the city sees itself and has grown to be known for over the last few decades… we will be there with our friends at R & Company and SCAD, and one of the highlights is Katie Stout’s Gargantua’s Thumb in the Design District… so if you are also over there…

Go see Subliminal Projects showcase at Dale Zine (where we also have some magazines)… and as always, Jeffrey Deitch Gallery has a special pop-up, That Was Then, This Is Now, organized by (american art projects)®, featuring, among others, our friends Ozzie Juarez, Alfonso Gonzalez Jr., Mario Ayala, and more….

Our friends at Creative Growth, Oakland will be at NADA, along with mainstays Megan Mulrooney, Harkawik, La Loma and SHRINE… can we just now have a conversation that it is 2025? Did you know that? I didn’t. Doesn’t it feel like a mix between 2016 and the end of the world?… I digress… but that is what the 3 dots are for… Hashimoto is over at Context, which is an easy ride from NADA…

Speaking of Ozzie Juarez, our friends at Tlaloc Studios who we have done the Against a Bright, Blue Sky with are hosting Paul Flores at SCOPE… Good Mother will be over there this year, too, which seems like two really good gets for the SCOPE crew…

Untitled… I like Untitled. It has nice A/C, it’s bright, feels a little surreal… I sweat a little less in there. And it has great views. Richard Heller Gallery will be there, Library Street Collective, Stems, Harper’s, and Anna Erickson, too, so you are going to get some solid presentations… and, like I said, the temp is great…

Here is a momentary break of fair talk for gallery talk… David Castillo Gallery has a brilliant solo show from Studio Lenca that we caught a preview of today… one of those shows that makes you feel a bit excited for the year to come…

I should take this moment to mention I love Miami. I love this city. The weather, the rain, the buildings, the traffic. It’s an experience… so I love the big fair… Art Basel Miami Beach… people love to hate it but also it’s kinda fucking great… you see things you haven’t seen before, you may talk shit at the things you have seen before, and then you are pretty proud of your friends that have made it in… of all the Basels this is the Basel Basel… well, there is the Basel Basel which is like the Basel Basel Basel… but Miami Beach is the Super Bowl Basel… (and don’t tell me the NFC and AFC championship games are better than the Super Bowl to create some distance from my hyperbloe…. I’m having a little moment here…)

I think that is my point here… Zwirner, Charlie James Gallery, Night Gallery, Pace Prints, Deitch, kurimanzutto… and if I missed you don’t worry you probably are getting a lot of press and it is one of those no hard feelings type of relationship… I love you, anyway.

By the way… I will be adding things to this because I make a list, I check it twice, and then like a few drinks kick in and I’m at the Deuce and someone tells me about … oh wait, what is this wrestling event I’m going to, now.. —Evan Pricco
